Total Global Sales of HMIs Reach 3 Million Units

Ann Arbor, MI — May 31, 2013 - Pro-face, the global leader in Human Machine Interface (HMI) and factory data communication solutions, developed the world's first HMI, which went on sale on October 20, 1988. Today, Pro-face is proud to announce that total global sales of its HMIs exceeded three million units in March 2013 according to data obtained directly from vendors.

Pro-face began taking orders for HMIs in November 1988, and the new products earned a favorable reputation in the field of factory automation due to the reduction of man-hours required for cable wiring, the introduction of networking capabilities for the production worksite, and other factors. Thanks to steady sales of the GP4000 series, which was released in 2011, the three-million-unit milestone was achieved approximately 3.7 times faster* than each of the previous million-unit milestones, making HMIs the company's fastest selling product ever. *Compared to the time taken to sell one million units

In the future, Pro-face will continue to provide its customers with products and value that are useful in improving efficiency on the production worksite and serve as the best human-machine interfaces.

Based on our corporate slogan, Pro-face for the best interface, Pro-face aims to develop products that act as the best interface and can be connected to industrial machinery in a variety of production worksites.
